Alcohol ink painting on tile - my first attempts, and how to make homemade ink

Made my own alcohol ink by soaking sharpie and bic markers in 91% alcohol (15mL/0.5oz per marker). The cost of the marker, alcohol, and squeeze bottle was less than half the cost of the store bought inks which are (0.5oz). Some of the lighter colors need 2 or 3 markers to get the right concentration of ink, but overall it is much cheaper than store bought brands.
This makes it a great way for me to practice ink painting without worrying about the cost and 'wasting' ink on my practice pieces. Also using a tile means I can wipe away ink with alcohol and start again!

Some of the colors and mixes

After a few test pieces these are my first attempts using a heat gun and gravity to move the ink. A bit of a mess but I can see potential!

Good idea to wear a respirator when creating alcohol art!

Ballpoint Pen drawings/sketches - Relaxing Art

Ballpoint pen drawings inspired by Jennifer Johansson

I love this type of art and find it super relaxing. No stress about making it look good, I just do it for fun for myself.

Using bic ballpoint pens is almost like sketching with pencil, you can draw light lines or dark lines and create shading. Sometimes I use an alcohol based blender marker over the pen.

After some test pieces I started filling up a sketchbook. Using a thick smooth paper, drawing on both sides.
